Our club takes its name from "Lo-Sheng Sanatorium," a significant heritage site in Taiwan which represents the sadden segregation history of Hansen's Disease during the period under Japanese colonial rule. In addition, for defending the residents’ human rights of living, one of the most noticeable social movements has also driven from this site since 2002, with huge support from every corner in Taiwan. Based on these two remarkable bygones, we consider it an important necessity of maintaining those spirits, and that is why we decided to fund the club. There are three primary purposes of our club： 1.Aiming at arousing students' awareness and strengthening logical thinking in public issues happened in this society,even the whole world. 2.Offering various insights and constructive discussions into diverse social communities, and strengthening the belief of multi-cultural values. 3.Encourging everyone's participation of public issues into practice, and toward a better world with practical resolve from each citizens’ corporation.
